I look into the fridge, then out the window. I open the wardrobe, backpack, walk around our house – I do not lack anything. In my memories so many places where I was, and I should not, because I did not have the money for it, so many undertakings that I took, even though I did not have the funds for it. I raise my hands to Heaven and say:
Thank you God! You are truly faithful!
Everyone I talk to has an idea of what he would do with the main prize in lottery : -) And I’ve known it for years! Today I have one simple plan. And very effective; always brings profits
Well …. I would ask God why he gave me such money! A simple matter! : -)
Because He is faithful. He Supplies. He leads. He gives wisdom and advice. He gives much more, transcends human boundaries in giving. It is not true that God loves poverty.
Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God. 20 They seldom reflect on the days of their life, because God keeps them occupied with gladness of heart. (Ecclesiastes 5,18-20)
I live with supply stories; mine and other people’s. I have a lot of them; if we sat by the fire, I could tell them for hours, one after another. They all are the result of three things: faith and trust in God and a humble heart, open to God’s voice.
Jakub Kamiński told the story of a man who needed 10,000 euro and shortly before the flight by plane, a stranger approached him, handed him a bag of 40,000. euro. on the plane, a man could take only 10,000 euro, it was clear to him that the rest …. He has to give away – which he did.
Kaminski himself received the car he had dreamed of, what he needed, and for which he had no money – from a man who wanted to have experience with God in giving – God asked him to give the car to Kaminski; when he finished teaching, that man came up to him, handed him the keys – with the reserve of winter tires in the trunk, saying “God told me to give you my car”.
Yeah …. a lot of thoughts are going through your head now, you can also quickly calculate what you would do with this excess of 30,000! I also believe that desperation would push the average person to take some steps to keep the whole amount! But he was not the average man – he already had experience with God in this field. And he was free. For giving. Not to pay for money.
And you can cross this border. The condition is total trust in God, believing that His love generates every abundance.
What are you doing with 1/10 of your payout?
I give it ‘back’ – and I do not cry! : -) Not only that! I am happy that I can help someone. Why 1/10? Because God said so. This money belongs to him anyway! He gave it to me.
10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. (Malachi 3:10)
Tithing is mentioned in the Bible in many places but for a number of years I have gained my experience in this field.
My first tithe
I learned about this in the church where I belonged. With the simplicity of my heart I have decided to give God what is due to Him – it was not a great amount at that time, but one was striking; I calculated EXACTLY 1/10 of it, it was 11 zlotys and 23 grosze.
At the end of the month my roommate comes with the bill and says; You know that we were cheaper in this month than in the previous one? – How much? I asked, out of curiosity.
– About …… exactly 11 zlotys and 23 grosze – replied unconscious K.: -)
It was a tangible proof for me that God
- a) takes care of me
- b) knows what is the current situation in the world and nothing escapes his attention
- c) he will keep providing me
- d) I will never miss anything with him
- e) is unpredictably abundant in giving!
And this is exactly so until now. I pay tithing from my earnings, and in time I encouraged also my husband to do so; he never has a problem with sharing and he is also happy when he can help someone.
How do I know what to spend it on?
I pray for it every month. And I’m waiting for an answer. And I always get it.
A few months ago, in response, I received a clear indication that I should give a tithe + a surplus to a loved one – I did not talk to her about the current situation, but it surprised me not only to tithe, but also more! As a result, I was to give her PLN 1,000. (about 262 USD)
When the day came when I was going to her, I rushed out the amount of tithing in a hurry, ignoring the “rest” – I thought it would be extra money for her anyway and I would find out if she really needed more; if so, no problem, I will give it to her. However, when I left, I clearly heard that I should take the entire 1000 zlotys, not less.
I came to her and gave her money, saying it was from God. Instead, she asked, “How much is there?” “One thousand zlotys” – I replied. And then her eyes glazed.
It turned out that despite the cash drop in her life, she spent almost PLN 1,000 on the Bible for people she met in the last days and just wanted to read the Bible at the same time saying that they do not have. She bought them. And because of me God gave it back – even with a surplus: -)
You understand? If I only paid her tithing, if I did not listen to God, there would be no wow effect!
If there is a comfort zone, then finance is also !! But it is worth going out to be part of God’s action !!
Everyone paid tithing in the church; that is to say no one was pursuing anyone for it, no pressure was exerted on anyone, but the pastors got their payouts without a tenth part – somewhere> on top <this practice was considered normal, because he would pay tithing to the Church, so why additional transfers …. And I think that the pastors have been deprived of something valuable: personal experience with God in this matter.
I want this and I have it. Nay!! I would like to be mega rich! I would like to be a millionaire to give more! I have already learned that I need a motorcycle for a few thousand, I do not have to have it from Indian Motorcycle; -) I will gladly give the rest to God’s Kingdom here on earth and grow in power, and the glory of God was preached!
If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. (1 Corinthians 13:3) – the combination of love and money (not to be confused with love for money) is a powerful force! And I want to use it!
For a number of years, dealing with people who sincerely and tithing for their freedom, I have not noticed that any of them had financial problems. All of them (and their faces are now running in front of my eyes) walk in a cloud of blessings.
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6, 28-34)
I confirm: when God and his kingdom are in the first place; love, grace, faith, joy, truth … everything else is added natural 🙂
From His excess, from His abundance, I bless You – each one separately!
