Is anyone among you sick? A comforter for the temporarily unwell #2

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

(Jeremiah 17, 7-8)

This quote very special to me. Here’s why: my discomfort for many months has been like the weather in a kaleidoscope  – it improves, fills me with hope, allows me to look boldly into the future, then comes a day of „agony” that squanders all the previous hope. And so, to ensure that hope isn’t just a fleeting flame susceptible to the slightest breeze, I needed some promise.

One day, I cried out to God: Father! Will my situation ever change at all?! Will I regain my strength?!

At that time, I had a dream: a large, sprawling, luscious-green tree with roots that were very extensive and strong – just like its branches. It was constantly watered, and in the tree’s crown, birds joyfully built nests, people sought shade under it from the heat. My tree served.

I understood that it was me. I am full of strength, radiating the energy bestowed upon me by God Himself. I really wanted to turn this dream into my promise, one to which I would return! Since God often confirms my dreams through the word of the Bible, this time, I asked Him for it. When I opened my Bible, I saw the following quote… You’ve read it at the very beginning :- ) Yes, the one from Jeremiah, about the tree…

However, a tree grows strong because it resists numerous winds – they whip it for so long until… they no longer impress it, they strengthen it. A strong tree can fully fulfill its role.

And for you, God has words of encouragement – perhaps He sees you as a tree? (I love trees!! It was a perfect word for me!) or maybe as a nimble cheetah? Or an everlasting, powerful waterfall? God will speak to your soul in a way that suits you – ask Him for it and expect it.

And then, remember this promise whenever you need it! Let it be your hope, one on which you can confidently wait for fulfillment!

– Lord, I want to be Your strong tree, I want to always bear good fruit!

For the body: Draw something that soothes you – don’t worry, I don’t have any special talent for drawing either, but I discovered that it brings me joy, positively affects my psyche, transports my mind to a different place, and allows it to breathe there. It also puts me in the only right time of existence: here and now.

If you get a dream, a promise from God, visualize it somehow – you’ll see how much joy the act of creation itself will bring you.

If you want, share your creation with me – you can send me a picture of it to me via Facebook/Meta.
