Here now is the man who did not make God his stronghold but trusted in his great wealth and grew strong by destroying others!

But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever.
(Psalm 52, 7-8)

God is your gardener, He has planted you in His garden and is nurturing you to grow. You can draw from everything He has for you – water, sun, to become a fruit (olive!) that acquires flavor that people enjoy.

Imagine yourself, peaceful, safe in God’s sunny, lush garden. In Him you have everything you need for your good life.

It’s a beautiful psalm, I know this fragment by heart and I repeat it to myself every day, standing in front of the mirror. When I reach the words „But I am like a green olive in the house of God” I smile broadly – how could I ever not like olives?!

However, there is much more hidden in these words – it is a fragment about identity in Christ. When you reflect on who you are to Him, where do you see yourself? Are you far away, in a tiny house on a big planet that He sometimes looks at from behind the clouds? Are you like the man in the crowd who only dreams of touching His garment that will heal Him? Are you in a close relationship, do you eat together, sometimes without saying a word, because you can talk to each other with your hearts?

Your fate is now at stake for this identity – because the identity of a child of God (heir to the kingdom of God!) is a place full of peace, serenity, and inner joy. This is a place where all evil remains behind its doors, including… unforgiveness; others, God, yourself….

Maybe you have a problem with this. Maybe you have a special pocket inside you where you hid a trauma. I have bad news: this pocket is so expansive that there is no room for two: trauma and release. Choose freedom.

– God, I want you to become my Father. However, I have a problem with forgiving a person (name this person). I want to choose freedom in You and life with You and healing from You. I am asking You to fill my heart with peace and prepare it for the act of forgiveness. Amen.

For the body: We are what we eat – as they say. And there is a lot of truth in this – diet has a significant impact on our health and well-being and – perhaps you know this from your own example – on the course of various diseases, and even contributes to their elimination.

The cuisine considered the healthiest is the Mediterranean one. And I strongly suggest switching to a way of eating in which you don’t really have to deny yourself too much, because the basis of Mediterranean cuisine is olive oil, olives – I personally use it, it works for me and I recommend it to everyone, including you.
